Victorville, San Bernardino County
The California Route 66 Museum opened in 1995 on D Street in Old Town Victorville, in a building that once housed the Red Rooster Cafe. Its rooms are filled with road signs, gas pumps and photographs from the highway years. Route 66 crossed the Mojave River here before climbing toward the Cajon Pass.
